Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, visited Yau Yat Chuen School, a kindergarten in Hong Kong on Thursday afternoon.
Accompanied by Leung Tong Ching-yee, the wife of outgoing Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, Peng watched the children carry out class activities and performances.
During her visit, Peng said that the kids are the hope of the future and wished them to grow up healthily.
She is accompanying Xi on his three-day visit to Hong Kong, which kicked off Thursday. The pair will attend various events marking the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the mainland.
