Windhairdaisy, or Saussurea japonica, is a biennial herb that grow in clusters at an elevation between 200 and 2,800 meters.

It is found on mountain slopes, loess slopes, and in the forests and wastelands, but usually not on saline soils.

Captured by CGTN Nature film crew in north China's Hulunbuir Grassland, the stretch of windhairdaisy is quite a view by the lake.
