In the fight against the COVID-19, the Chinese government has taken the right measures with huge efforts, according to Dimitri de Vreeze, Co-CEO of Royal DSM, a global science-based company in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living.

"Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the coronavirus," he told CGTN, adding that the company has supplied Vitamin C to the medical workers in Wuhan hospitals.

Some people have questioned if China could recover from the impact of the epidemic. "I think it's the wrong question. The question should be 'when will it recover?'" the Co-CEO commented.

He is confident in China's resilience, perseverance as well as strengths that will definitely help China recover.

"You have shown in the past resilience, perseverance and strength. And that's also what we see today, and we will see for the future," he stressed.

China is the fastest-growing area for DSM, which has 49 branches in China, including 25 production sites, and employs almost 5,000 people. "They work very hard every day to operate our plants. They show perseverance and resilience," he stressed.

Meanwhile, the Co-CEO urges to establish a shared platform worldwide to help the world act together fighting the virus.

"The coronavirus doesn't stop at borders, it spreads. Therefore, we need to work together, act together. We need to create a shared community platform – because we have only one planet, one mankind, which we should protect," he said.
