The midstream of China's mother river, Yellow River, flows through the Loess Plateau. When it reaches the border between Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, a dramatic funnel-shaped channel creates the spectacular Hukou Waterfall, the only natural waterfall of the Yellow River.
