Yongding River flows through Beijing, China's capital. Due to the impact of climate change and human activities, the water flow has been inconsistent in recent decades. Beijing's municipal government has worked hard to reintroduce water to the river on a large scale. With the surrounding environment improving, the biological chains will be rebuilt and more fish and bird species will appear.
