Fang Qiaoran, the prolific birdlover that is constantly traveling across the country, set out again this time looking for owls in the rainforest in southwest China's Yunnan Province. 

With the help of new gadget, an infrared thermal imager which proves once again how money-consuming the activity of birdwatching could be, she was able to locate the nocturnal birds with ease.

After a fruitful night, Fang and her teammates did not have much time to sleep before venturing outside again for tree birds that are active during the day. 

After four days of intense observation, Fang was able to record 72 bird species. But something is different this year.

"I personally feel that it's getting more difficult to spot a bird here, and the number of bird species you can record is also reducing. Generally, you see less birds this year. Last year, I saw a large flock of Asian openbill storks on an island in the middle of a lake, but I saw none this year."

The bird lover, who is also a lover of nature in a broader sense, also captured some amazing creatures in the woods.
