Expert: More laws and standards needed from top for green development

China is emphasizing harmony between humanity and nature as it works towards modernization. The National Committee of the CPPCC has established a new sector on environment and natural resources for the first time since 1993. Jiang Nanqing, secretary general of the Committee of Green Circular and Inclusive Development of the All-China Environment Federation, says this move means the design of more laws and standards will be needed from the top levels for green development.
