Mount Dushan stands on the southwestern border of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Towering mountains and precipitous peaks have witnessed the evolution of myriad lives. It is home to a colony of white-headed langurs.
Acker, the Monkey King, is the head of the family and a hardened fighter. But he's looking around nervously because danger is close at hand. He knows that a bunch of 6- or 7-year-old stray male monkeys intend to steal away his colony's females and seize his throne.
White-headed langurs inhabit a 200-square-kilometer area in Chongzuo, Guangxi. Fewer than 1,000 of them are found worldwide. In monogamous, single-child families and large polygamous groups, they live scattered across the mountains. There are also groups of stray adult males who have left their families.
Acker is the head of the largest langur colony on Mount Dushan. With more than 30 members, it's a natural target for the stray males. Watch this episode and see how the Monkey King fights for his family and throne!
