Global Stringer

Japan has been releasing the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the Pacific Ocean since August 24. The news has sparked continuous worldwide attention and opposition.

On the other side of the Pacific, CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Monterrey, Mexico to interview residents from diverse backgrounds. Most say Japan should listen to other countries, especially those on the Pacific rim, before dumping nuclear-tainted water into the ocean. "I think Japan should seek opinions from other countries." A local activist said, "Japan's dumping of nuclear-tainted water will affect humanity."
