Xinzhu Village is an intangible cultural heritage site in Yunnan Province. This small Naxi village hosts a national intangible cultural heritage project called "Sanduo Festival" Dongba inheritance training program. The Dongba symbols of the Naxi people are recognized as the world's only hieroglyphs still in use. Ancient manuscripts written in Dongba symbols are inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. The Dongba hieroglyphs contain many symbols related to nature. In their literary manuscripts, most mythologies revolve around natural prophecy. Check out the video to learn more!
