The Jinsha River flows southwards between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain, shaping one of the world's deepest canyons, the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
The dangerous shallows and overwhelming rapids seem unstoppable. Approaching the lower section, the torrent slows down and becomes warmer.
