The Jinsha River flows southwards between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain, shaping one of the world's deepest canyons, the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The dangerous shallows and overwhelming rapids seem unstoppable. Approaching the lower section, the torrent slows down and becomes warmer. River valleys are usually rich in water resources, but most valleys that the Jinsha River flows through suffer from drought. What's the cause of this phenomenon? Check out the video to learn more!
