Kong Mingguang, a villager in Dulongjiang Township, southwest China's Yunnan Province, is always worried before he sets out on a forest patrolling mission in the mountains. Not because it's dangerous, but because his wife would complain about not having him as a helper in their crop fields. But Kong, a former hunter, keeps the job as a forest ranger to protect the mountains that are home to his people: the Dulong ethnic group.
Kong is not alone. There are 195 forest rangers like him in the township. Watch this episode to learn more.
