Chinese hat plants bloom in Hainan Tropical Botanical Garden
The Chinese hat plant has orange and nectar-rich flowers. They grow best at sunny locations and prefer well-drained soil. The plant is native to the Himalayas, but now it is cultivated in many places for its ornamental values. The flowers also attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
