The green-fruited fig tree can grow up to 30 meters tall and is found in China, Vietnam and India. It likes to grow in places with sufficient sunshine and better in moist, deep and fertile mountain soil. In Hainan Tropical Botanical Garden in Danzhou City, south China's Hainan Province, you can see fig trees with green fruits on them. The fruits are edible when ripe.
The green-fruited fig tree has a large crown with abundant tree juice, which provides a good food source and habitat for the growth of lac insects.
