The Brazilian red-cloak (Megaskepasma erythrochlamys Lindau) is native to South America. The showy tropical plant has two-lipped white flowers, the red ones are actually its bracts. The plant is cultivated in climates from warm temperate to tropical and prefers rich soil and warm weather. The plant is not commonly grown in China, but CGTN's Nature team found a few in Hainan Tropical Botanical Garden in Danzhou City, south China's Hainan Province.
